Agile and the role of the Business Analyst – An AssistKD workshop

On 18th February AssistKD Directors Debbie Paul and Paul Turner ran a half-day workshop for an invited group of BA’s.

Session Overview

Many organisations are currently getting to grips with two key challenges:

  • How to make best use of their business analysts
  • How to develop solutions in an Agile way

These challenges are hindered by a lack of clear agreement on what business analysis should encompass and what Agile development really means.

This workshop considered the following questions:

  • What elements of the Agile philosophy are relevant to the work of business analysts?
  • How can business analysis benefit from applying Agile approaches and principles?
  • How is the role of the business analyst impacted when an Agile development approach is selected?

The event was a half-day workshop for an invited group of Business Analysts. Debbie Paul and Paul Turner set the scene and facilitated a workshop discussion. The conclusions drawn by the group will be published in the Business Analysis Newsletter Analysts Anonymous shortly.
