27 April 2026 Celebrating our Mentor Community Posted by AssistKD News Editor The Mentor Community of Practice Day opened with a buzz of conversation and shared purpose, setting the tone for a day that celebrated what truly sets our apprenticeship programmes apart: our people. Led by Lisa Hudson, Head of Mentoring, the session brought our mentor community together in a way that felt both energising and purposeful.Dr Debra Paul opened the day by highlighting the recent success of the Business Analysis and Service Designer programmes and announced that we had recently been recognised as an industry leader in these areas.Throughout the day, mentors generously shared their experiences, challenges, and successes. A strong sense of pride accompanied reflections on the impact mentoring has on learners’ confidence, capability, and career journeys. Ideas and best practice were exchanged openly, underpinned by a shared commitment to raising standards even further. Above all, it was clear this community of practice is built on connection, care, and continual improvement.Closing the day, Jonathan Hunsley, CEO, reaffirmed Assistkd’s commitment to pedagogical learning and shared a quote from Benjamin Franklin:Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn. And, of course, no great community day would be complete without a small celebration. Between discussions and reflections, there were cupcakes—much appreciated and very on-brand for a group that knows the value of morale and moments of joy. Share this page
