Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy exists so that you may feel confident about the privacy and security of your personal information when you register with us, or otherwise use our services.  We may make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website.

The information we collect 

You may need to register on our website in order to access certain information or purchase a course, examination or online learning course. In order to register with us, you will need to tell us your name, telephone number, email address and the course you wish to book. We will not take any payment details from you, as these will be collected from you separately by our payment provider, which is currently WorldPay. Please view WorldPay’s privacy policy here if you wish to find out more about how your personal information and payment data will be handled by WorldPay.

How we use the information

We gather this information from you in order to process your order and provide our services to you. We will need to pass the information on to our accreditation partner, BCS, the Chartered Insitute for IT, First Floor, The Davidson Building, 5 Southampton Street, London, WC2E 7HA in order for you to be able to take the examination at the end of any course you purchase from us. If you have a reasonable adjustments request to make, for instance for extra time in an exam, this will be handled by BCS, and they may need to collect sensitive personal information from you. Please refer to BCS’ privacy policy here for further information on how they will process your personal information.

We will need to contact you by email in order to send you information about the services or products that you have purchased from us, and any service issues; as well as in response to any future enquiries you make about our services.

We may send you information from time to time about further courses that we think could be of interest to you, and we will only do this with your explicit permission.

We do not currently pass on our customers’ personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes, but if we wish to do so in future we will only do so with your permission.

We also use cookies and similar technology to collect information about your use of our website.  Please refer to our Cookies Policy which sets out in more detail how we do this. 

How we protect your personal information

We take all reasonable care to prevent any unauthorised access to your personal information and have put in place various security procedures to protect your personal information (such as firewalls, browser certification technology, limited access, use of passwords as appropriate).

We sometimes use other companies and third parties to provide some of our services to you or to us. To enable them to do this, we may need to let them process your personal information. Our staff and those working for our agents or contractors have a responsibility to keep your information confidential and are only allowed to use it to provide products and services on our behalf.

How long will we hold onto your personal information?

We will keep your personal information for no longer than is necessary to provide the products and services that you have purchased/requested from us and we will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that our third party providers do the same. As part of our service to you, we will keep an archived record of your name, course taken, dates of attendance, and qualification obtained. This is so that we can verify this information in future to you, or to your employer, upon request.

Your rights

If you would like to see the personal information that we hold on you, or if you would like us to correct, remove or delete any of your personal information that we hold, you have the right to request that we do so, and we will make every reasonable effort within the applicable law to comply with your request.
