For the 8th consecutive Christmas, AssistKD is proud to support Lord Williams's School Young Carers. Lord Williams's School Young Carers supports students aged 11 to 18 who are from Thame and the surrounding areas, and who attend the school.

To be classified as a Young Carer, a pupil will have a member of their family, living in the family home, with a condition or disability, mental health concerns or an issue with drugs or alcohol. Part of the Young Carer concept is 'You are not alone'. The AssistKD team is keen to support pupils who are Young Carers and to help ensure that they never feel alone.

Our donation helps to guarantee that the Young Carers can enjoy two trips away each year. These include activities such as a Summer trip to Chessington World of Adventure and, at Christmas, a visit to a pantomime, bowling or Christmas shopping. These are the type of activities that many of our Young Carers have not had the time or opportunity to enjoy previously.
