BA Manager Forum May 2019

Posted by AssistKD News Editor

Last Friday (10th May) around 140 BA Practice Leaders attended the latest BA Manager Forum event in London. The day kicked off in style with an award to Matthew Cruise of Warner Bros who is the first person in the country to successfully complete the IS Business Analyst Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship was devised and developed by BAMF members and it was good to celebrate the first successful candidate.

During the day, BAMF members were treated to workshops on subjects at the heart of business transformation:

  • Transforming customer experience (CX)
  • Data analysis and the BA service.
  • Insights to help BAs survive restructuring.
  • Business analysis and cybersecurity.

Each workshop raised much discussion and debate, as might be expected given the combined insights of so many highly qualified and experienced BA leaders. The need for effective business analysis to support organisations and their customers within a fast-moving business and technological world was evident.

The workshops were followed by a recent addition to the BAMF - the special interest groups. The groups explored two areas: ensuring quality within an Agile environment and the practicalities of running a BA apprentice scheme.

All in all, a most successful, energising day. Slides will be available at www.bamanagerforum.org. Thanks to everyone who came along and contributed.
