On the 22nd February, the IIBA Scottish regional branch hosted a well-attended event at Registrars of Scotland's offices in Edinburgh. The theme of the evening was 'Delivering the Business Event'. The evening began with an introductory presentation that summarised the company's 400 hundred year history and ended with an account of their current digital transformation programme.  Registrars are using an agile approach to implementing the programme and have set up a user experience lab, which has meant that the public have been involved throughout the project.

The second presentation was made by Gary Cockburn of Lightforce Consulting, who had previously worked for Royal Mail and Stamps as part of the team that launched first day covers and other products. He emphasised that this was an example of a large high profile delivery which really had to be ready on the scheduled date - particularly when one of the key stakeholders was the Queen.
